Herb and potato gratin

1 clove of garlic
4 medium potatoes
100 ml milk
tarragon, oregano, marjoram, fresh thyme, fresh rosemary, fennel seeds
salt
2 tablespoons butter

Zubereitung

  1. Rub a casserole dish with a little butter.
  2. Peel the potatoes, cut into thin slices and place in the baking dish.
  3. Finely chop the herbs.
  4. Season the milk with the chopped herbs and salt.
  5. Pour the herb milk over the potato slices.
  6. Using a knife, spread the butter in small mounds over the raw gratin.
  7. Bake the gratin in a preheated oven at 180° for approx. 40 minutes until golden brown.

The potato gratin can be easily modified by stirring in basil pesto, olive pesto or red tomato pesto.
