Whisk the eggs with the milk, cream and sugar in a medium bowl.
Beat in the flour a spoonful at a time until the batter is smooth.
Cover the dough and leave to rise for approx. 10 minutes.
Baked Apfel-Küchle
Remove the cores from the apples.
Peel all sides of the whole cored apples.
Cut the apples crosswise into finger-thick rings.
Heat the oil in a pan until small bubbles appear when tested with a wooden spoon.
Place the bowl with the batter right next to the pan.
Dip one apple ring at a time into the batter until they are coated all over with batter, remove and immediately place in the hot fat in the pan.
Fry a maximum of 3-4 apple fritters at a time over a medium heat for approx. 2 minutes, turn and fry for a further 2 minutes until the batter is golden brown all over.
Degrease the baked apple fritters on a plate with kitchen paper.
Bake the remaining apple rings in portions of 3-4 apple fritters and degrease.
Dust the finished apple fritters with powdered sugar.
