1 onion
1 apple
vegetable oil
2 chicken breast fillets, 200 g each
1 tbsp raisins
250 ml vegetable stock
0.5 tbsp turmeric
0.5 tbsp ground coriander
0.5 tbsp cumin
0.5 tbsp sweet paprika
1 pinch of ground cinnamon
1 pinch of ground cardamom
1 pinch of ground cloves
salt
cayenne pepper

Zubereitung

  1. Peel and finely dice the onions and place in a small bowl.
  2. Peel the apples, remove the core, finely dice and add to the bowl.
  3. Pat dry the chicken breast and trim if necessary, i.e. remove the tendon and fat with a sharp knife.
  4. Cut the chicken breast fillets in half lengthways and cut into 1 cm thick strips.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a small pan but do not let it get too hot.
  6. Place the chicken strips in the pan, season with salt and cayenne pepper and fry gently for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Remove the meat and place in a bowl.
  8. Place the diced onion and apple in the pan and add the spices. Cook over a medium heat for 1 minute.
  9. Add 250 ml vegetable stock to the onions and apples.
  10. Add the raisins to the pan.
  11. Add the chicken strips to the sauce and heat for 3 minutes.
  12. Season the chicken curry with salt and the spices to taste. 

UNser TIPP

The curry also tastes good in the vegetarian version with zucchini rhombuses instead of meat. You can also use pears instead of apples.
