Apfel-Küchle Dough

2 eggs
8 tbsp milk
4 tbsp cream
2 tbsp sugar
10 tbsp flour

Baked Apfel-Küchle

2 apples
100 ml sunflower oil
powdered sugar

Zubereitung

Apfel-Küchle Dough

  1. Whisk the eggs with the milk, cream and sugar in a medium bowl.
  2. Beat in the flour a spoonful at a time until the batter is smooth.
  3. Cover the dough and leave to rise for approx. 10 minutes.

Baked Apfel-Küchle

  1. Remove the cores from the apples.
  2. Peel all sides of the whole cored apples.
  3. Cut the apples crosswise into finger-thick rings.
  4. Heat the oil in a pan until small bubbles appear when tested with a wooden spoon.
  5. Place the bowl with the batter right next to the pan.
  6. Dip one apple ring at a time into the batter until they are coated all over with batter, remove and immediately place in the hot fat in the pan.
  7. Fry a maximum of 3-4 apple fritters at a time over a medium heat for approx. 2 minutes, turn and fry for a further 2 minutes until the batter is golden brown all over.
  8. Degrease the baked apple fritters on a plate with kitchen paper.
  9. Bake the remaining apple rings in portions of 3-4 apple fritters and degrease.
  10. Dust the finished apple fritters with powdered sugar.

UNser TIPP

You can also sprinkle the Apfel-Küchle with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
