Hummus with flatbread

Zutaten für Personen

1/2 lemon
265 g cooked chickpeas (tin, drained weight)
1 small clove of garlic
1 tbsp tahini
vegetable stock
5 tbsp olive oil
salt
cayenne pepper
1/4 flatbread

Zubereitung

  1. Grate the lemon zest and squeeze the lemon.
  2. Peel and dice the garlic.
  3. Puree the chickpeas with the garlic, 1 tbsp lemon juice, the lemon zest and the tahini.
  4. If necessary, adjust the consistency with a little vegetable stock so that the mixture is just pureeable.
  5. Stir in the olive oil.
  6. Season the hummus to taste with salt and cayenne pepper and serve with flatbread.

UNser TIPP

Hummus can be wonderfully colored with turmeric, beetroot or spinach. As an alternative to vegetable stock, a little yoghurt in hummus also tastes delicious.
