Sushi rice
nori leaves
sesame seeds
Topiko flyfish caviar
salmon
shrimp
cucumber
avocado
rocket salad
cream cheese
Japanese mayonnaise
green asparagus
spring onions

Zubereitung

  1. Wrap the bamboo mat in cling film.
  2. Place the nori sheet on the mat with the smooth side facing down.
  3. Spread the rice over the nori sheet, leaving a cm gap at the top and a cm overhang at the bottom.
  4. Spread the sesame seeds or topiko caviar over the rice.
  5. Turn the nori sheet with the rice over so that the protruding end of the sheet is facing downwards.
  6. Place the fillings on top; if cream cheese is used, it should be at the bottom.
  7. Hold the filling in place with your fingers and lift the mat with your thumbs.
  8. Close the roll with the help of the mat
  9. Hold the roll in place with your hands, applying slight pressure.
  10. Remove the roll and place it with the groove facing downwards.
  11. Cut into 8 equal pieces.

UNser TIPP

Uramaki can also be topped on the outside with various toppings, such as thinly sliced fish, Parma ham or slices of roast beef. Whatever tastes good is allowed!
