Roasted bread

4 slices of baguette
3 tbsp olive oil

Sardine cream

1 tin of sardines in oil, skinless and boneless (approx. 100 g)
0.5 lemons
1 tsp capers
50 g butter (room temperature)
0.5 tsp ketchup
salt
pepper
Slices of toasted bread (homemade)

Zubereitung

Roasted bread

  1. Cut the bread into slices.
  2. Place the slices of bread on a baking tray and drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Toast the slices of bread in a 180° oven for approx. 3 minutes on one side.

Sardine creme

  1. Drain the sardines.
  2. Grate the yellow part of the lemon zest.
  3. Squeeze the lemon.
  4. Finely chop the capers.
  5. Puree the sardines with the grated lemon zest, butter at room temperature and ketchup.
  6. Mix the chopped capers with the sardine cream.
  7. Season the sardine cream with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
  8. Spread the sardine cream on the slices of toasted bread.
